Very rarely do I use the dishwasher at my house. Normally I wash dishes the old fashioned way—in hot, bubbly dishwater with a little bit of bleach.
If a dish has hard, dry food stuck to it, I let it soak in the dishwater. Even though I can’t see what’s happening in the dishwater, I know that the hot, bubbly dishwater is loosening up the debris on the dish.
That is, even though I can’t see what’s happening on the surface, I know that something is happening beneath the surface.
Likewise, even if you can’t see what God is doing on the surface, you should trust that God is up to something beneath the surface of your life. Even though you may not perceive or fully understand what God is doing, trust that God is up to something good in your life.
