When I washed my car a few weeks ago, I discovered that my water hose was punctured in a few spots. The next day, I bought a heavy-duty water hose for $50.00.
But as soon as I left the store, I began to think: “Fifty dollars? That seems like a lot of money. Maybe I should just tape the water hose I got?”
So, before I went home, I stopped by Home Depot to buy water hose repair tape for $14.00, and then I returned the water hose.
If you’re doing the math, I saved $36.00.
Amen!
I bought the repair tape because I concluded that even though my old water hose was damaged, it still had value.
Therefore, instead of throwing the water hose away, I decided to keep it.
Likewise, even though other people may throw you away, God has decided to keep you. Like my water hose, you may be broken. But you can still be a blessing.
