Have you ever been in line behind somebody who’s holding up the line at Chick-fil, A, or McDonald’s, or Wendy’s, because this person is undecided about what to order?
While your stomach is growling, this person is saying, “Uh . . . uh . . . uuuuhhh . . . ! Let me get a uuuuuuhhhhh . . .”
So you’re thinking, “Uh? ‘Uh’ isn’t on the menu!”
Sorry to say, there are times when God is right there in front of us ready to receive our request, but we’re just standing there, saying, “Uh . . . uh . . . uuuhhh . . .”
Sometimes, the difference between having what you want and not having what you want is asking for what you want.
In James 4:2, the writer says, “You have not, because you ask not.” But you can’t ask for what you want, if you don’t know what you want!
