Missing Something

Years ago, after I taste the collard greens at a luncheon, I scoot my chair back and tell those at my table, “I’ll be right back.”

When I arise from the table, someone at the table asks, “Where are you’re going?”

I answer, “I’m going to find some hot sauce!”

The greens weren’t seasoned to my liking. They were missing something.

Similarly, regardless of how sophisticated, or educated, or celebrated you are, if you don’t have a devotional life, your life will be missing something.h
