I love mashed sweet potatoes. To prepare them, I boil three sweet potatoes, peel them, place them in a bowl, add a spoonful of butter, sprinkle some Splenda and cinnamon, mix it all up, and then demolish it with a spoon.
When the bowl is almost empty, I scrape the interior and bottom of the bowl with a spoon, trying to get every morsel of sweet potatoes out of the bowl.
Just as I scrape the sweet potatoes out of the bowl, so too God can scrape purpose out of the pain, a blessing out of the burden, and some good out of the bad.
