This morning a new college term began. I’m teaching the course Liberation Theology.
During the registration period last semester, the class filled up in one day. Since then, several students have come out the woodworks, emailing and texting me, blowing my phone up, asking for an override.
An override would allow them to register for the course, even though it’s full. To give an override is to make an exception for them. I’m not obligated to make an exception, even though I have the authority to do so.
And you should take your problems to God, because God has the authority to make exceptions for you. God can open doors for you that seem to be stuck. God can make ways for you that seem to be blocked. God can give you an override.
