Since I was a kid, I desired a particular pair of Air Jordan sneakers—the Jordan 5 Retro Grapes.
I like these shoes so much that I still have the Wheaties box with Jordan wearing them on the cover. I’ve been carrying this box around since 1990!
A couple of weeks ago, I put in a low bid to buy the shoes from an online reseller. An hour later, I received an email indicating that the seller accepted my bid.
When I received the email, I exclaimed, “Yes!”
I didn’t receive the shoes until about a week later. But I didn’t wait a week before I rejoiced. I had rejoiced in the present.
I don’t know what you’re waiting for God to do in the future. But you don’t have to wait until the future before you rejoice.
You can rejoice in the present about what God will do in the future.
