The other day, while I was waiting for the youth in choir rehearsal, I leaned forward in the chair.
When I looked at the chair beside me, a thought crossed my mind: God is like this chair.
A chair is one thing that can be a whole lot of things.
A chair supports your back.
A chair is a stepstool when you can’t reach something.
A chair can be a table at a cookout.
A chair is a coat rack.
At choir rehearsal, a chair became an ottoman to elevate my feet.
A chair becomes a desk.
I often use the chair in my office as an armrest to pray.
You may even use a chair as exercise equipment for push-ups, dips, military press, or dumbbell curls.
A chair is one thing in your life that can be a whole lot of things in your life.
God is your Chair. God is One Thing in your life who can be a whole lot of things in your life.
If you need support, sit in the Chair. If you can’t reach it, stand on the Chair. If you’re weary, lean back in the Chair. If you feel weak, train with the Chair. If your burdens are too heavy, hang them on the Chair.
God is your Chair.
