Podium on Wheels

Back in 2017, upon the launch of the church I pastor, the podium from which I used to preach had wheels on it.

When I got excited during my sermons, I would lean on the podium. One Sunday morning, however, when I leaned on the podium, it began to move slightly.

After service that day, one of our members approached me, jokingly saying, “Pastor, you want to make sure you lock those wheels before you preach.”

That morning, I was leaning on something that wasn’t stable.

And if you’re going to lean on something, you want to make sure that it can hold you up.

Fortunately, you can lean on God because God is stable, and sturdy, and steady, and reliable. God is the Rock that cannot be moved.
