Earlier this year, I took my daughter to see one of my favorite comedians, Jerry Seinfeld. When asked about the secret to his success as a comedian, Seinfeld said that at the beginning of every year, he hangs a large yearlong calendar on the wall. Each day that he writes a new joke, he draws a red “X” over that date on the calendar.
Over time, he created a chain of red “X’s.” He told himself, “Never break the chain.”
Similarly, God never breaks the chain on the calendar of your life. God is there for you every single day—rooting for you, pulling for you, and working for you.
