When I was a kid, my sister and I were latchkey kids. At the time, my mom drove a Volkswagen Jetta.
The brakes on this car were so loud that when my sister and I were home alone, we could hear Mom stopping at the red light fifty miles from the house: “Screeeech!”
So, after school, while we waited for Mom to return home, we would listen out for the brakes. When we heard the brakes, we knew she was nearby.
In a similar way, while you’re waiting for God’s promise to pull up in your driveway and move in your situation, listen out for the brakes. If you listen out for the brakes, you’ll see that your blessing is on the way.
