Have you ever been on your cell phone in Wal-Mart (or any grocery store, for that matter), and then noticed somebody you knew in the store?
But even though you notice them, you really don’t want to talk to them, so you act like you don’t see them. To the person on the call, you say, “Girl, guess who I see in the Wal-Mart?” or “Yo, you won’t believe who’s on aisle twelve in the grocery store.”
Now, you really do need to go down aisle twelve yourself, so that you can pick up some milk for your Frosted Flakes! But you won’t go, because they are on aisle twelve! So you peek around the corner and you just wait!
And you avoid them like the plague, because you don’t want to be bothered with them! You don’t want to be interrupted by them! And generally speaking, we don’t like to be interrupted.
But here’s the truth of the matter: there are times when God will interrupt you.
God will tell you to do something that you don’t necessarily want to do. God will tell you to try something that you don’t think you can do. God will tell you to try on shoes that you think are too big for you.
God will interrupt you. So at the end of the day, when you’re interrupted by God, you have to trust that God knows what’s best for you.
