Reaching for the Remarkable

Six weeks before the original iPhone was introduced to the world years ago, Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, decided that he wanted the phone to have a scratchproof glass screen.

He was told, however, that a glass screen for a cellphone was not an option. He was told that this was not one of his choices.

But if you own a cellphone, it’s very likely that your phone has a glass screen.

My point? When you commit to doing something remarkable, people will tell you that it’s not an option, that it can’t be done.

But even though it’s never been done, it’s still possible for it to be done. Even though it’s never happened in the past, it’s still possible for it to happen in the present.

So go ahead and reach for the remarkable. You just might grab it!
