Failure Is Written with a Dry Erase Marker

While teaching a class last year, I wrote on a dry erase board with a permanent marker. Of course, that’s a problem because, in most cases, a permanent marker is . . . permanent.

The good news, however, is that failure is not written with a permanent marker. Failure is written with a dry erase marker.

When you make a mistake with a dry erase marker, you can just wipe the board clean, and start over again.

Has God ever given you an opportunity to start over again, to hit the “reset” button in your life, to embark upon a new beginning?

Failure is not the end. But failure is an opportunity to begin again. So if it doesn’t work out the first time, or the second time, or the third time, or the fourth time, or the fifth time, don’t give up. But try, try—and try again.
