A while back, when I pick up my child from the after-school program, the first thing I do when we get in the car is ask about her day.
She answers, “It was good.”
Then I say, “Tell me about the most interesting part of the day.”
In order for me to hear her response clearly, I turn the music volume down in the car.
And there are times when God wants to tell you something, when God wants to reveal God’s plan for your life.
But in order for you to hear God more clearly, you have to turn down the volume in other areas in your life. You may have to spend less time engaged in minor activities, and more time engaged in prayer, personal Bible study, and devotion.
